City Commission Appoints New TCL&P Board Member
(Traverse City, Michigan) — The Traverse City City Commission appointed Elysha Davila to serve on the Traverse City Light & Power (TCL&P) Board at its March 19, 2018 meeting. Elysha Davila is filling the expired term of Jeff Palisin who did not seek reappointment.
“Traverse City Light & Power has an important role in powering the local economy, and has stayed at the cutting edge of this work with recent initiatives to introduce fiberoptic to the region and support the city's 100% renewable energy goal, while maintaining its excellent service and low rates for customers,” said Davila. “As a downtown business owner, I am looking forward to supporting TCL&P meet these goals.”
Elysha Davila has a Bachelor of Science in Education and Social Policy from Northwestern University. She is currently Head of Communications for Climate Policy Initiative, a global non-profit organization that focuses on the economic aspects of energy and land use policies. Ms. Davila has been a resident of Traverse City since 2014, but grew up in the region.
Elysha Davila’s term on the TCL&P Board will expire on April 3, 2023.
