The Homestead Hills area has experienced an increased number of outages in recent years. In response to this, TCL&P will be performing electric system improvements in your neighborhood. Click HERE to view a map of the project area.
WHEN & WHAT TO EXPECT:
The project is scheduled to begin October 30, 2017, with an expected completion date of December 1, 2017.
The scope of this project will involve the installation of new underground facilities along the road right-of-way of Homestead Court, Homestead Lane and Mission Ridge. Undergrounding of the power line will be done by directional boring which is a process of installing underground conduits with minimal impact on lawns, trees and driveways. 5 Star Directional Drilling is the contractor working on behalf of TCL&P.
The impact to property owners should be limited, however, brief outages may be needed in order to complete the job. TCL&P will communicate with customers in order to coordinate times as they are needed.
The electric system improvements are consistent with the utility’s mission to provide safe, reliable and competitively priced electricity to its customers.
