TCL&P offers a $15 bill credit for recycling your working room air conditioning unit or dehumidifier twice a year at the Clean Up & Green Up community recycling event. For future event dates and times, click here.

Home Energy Assessment

TCL&P has partnered with a local energy contractor to offer expert home energy assessments to our customers. A home energy assessment, also known as a home energy audit, is the first step to assess how much energy your home consumes and to evaluate what measures you can take to make your home more energy efficient. Energy assessments can cost upwards of $400, but TCL&P is offering this service for $99.

The contractor will use a variety of techniques and equipment to determine the energy efficiency of your home. Your in-depth assessment will include a blower door test, which measure the extent of leaks in the building envelope, and an infrared scan, which will reveal hard-to-detect areas of air infiltration and missing insulation. After the assessment you will receive a detailed report of findings and recommended next steps to make your home more energy efficient.

2015 Commercial & Industrial Program Application

TCL&P offers business customers financial incentives, up to $15,000 a year, to help ease the cost and challenge of making energy efficient improvements to your building.

Our Prescriptive Program provides incentives when you replace inefficient equipment with specified high-efficiency electric technologies including:

  • Interior and exterior lighting
  • HVAC controls and equipment
  • Variable frequency drives (VFDs)
  • Compressed air
  • Commercial refrigeration and kitchen systems

To qualify, lighting must be used at least 1,800 hours per year and other equipment must operate at least 1,500 hours per year.

Our Custom Program provides financial assistance to business customers who want to make improvements outside the parameters of the Prescriptive Program.

Applications are accepted on a first come, first serve basis while annual funds are available.

Important: To receive funding through either of these incentive programs, you must complete an application form and receive preapproval from TCL&P.
