AMI Project Communication
8/3/2016

(PLEASE DO NOT "REPLY ALL" TO THIS EMAIL.  YOU MAY REPLY TO SENDER)

Board Members:

After communications between the Board Chairman and the Executive Director, it was decided in the best interest of the project to share additional information that was gathered in addition to the document that the Executive Director has already forwarded to you.  Not all of you may need or want to go through the added information, but it is available if you are so inclined at the below URL.

Also, it is understood that the document that the Executive Director has already forwarded to you was published in 2011.  This was intentional as this publication still provides pertinent information that is still applicable and valid to today’s communities as they look to adopt AMI.  As that publication points out that all customer classifications and utility categories benefit from AMI, Staff believes that customer behavior is influenced even more today, as eco-awareness and green initiatives are doing more than ever to educate the public and communities are becoming much more involved.

Please know that Staff does not want to minimize the significance of this project and greatly understands the large decision the Board has to make.

For complete transparency, this communication, along with the URL to the documents will be posted on TCL&P’s website for general public access.
